Boldenone was originally developed as a “long-acting” version of methandrostenolone (Dianabol).

Unlike methandienone, boldenone has a low rate of aromatization and practically does not cause estrogen-related side effects.

In terms of its action profile, it is very close to nandrolone — offering a similar quality muscle gain and appetite stimulation, but it is usually noticeably better tolerated and less likely to cause “deca-like” prolactin-related effects.
